Jessica Turgeon is a sophomore Communications major with a double concentration in Journalism and Communication Studies and also has a minor in Theatre. Here at Marist College she is involved in a plethora of extra-curricular activities such as Marist Singers, Student Government Association, MCCTA (Marist College Council on Theatre Arts), Student Programming Council, and also works part-time at the Office of College Activities. Jessica has taken multiple core courses in the Communications field and is getting more involved with her Journalism major. Jessica is a hard working, organized, and dedicated student, and she takes pride in getting the job done.
Jacel Egan is a sophomore at Marist College, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and minoring in Political Science. She is currently co-editor of the news section of the student newspaper, The Circle, and is part of the national AAJA (Asian American Journalists Association). Jacel holds two jobs on campus: proofreading at the Academic Learning Center, and Phonathon in the Alumni Relations Office. She is proficient in using Quark, Microsoft Office, and iWork programs. Jacel has held internships at WIS News 4 in Columbia, SC, and GMATS (Global Maritime and Transportation School) in Great Neck, NY on Long Island. Egan plans to study abroad in London come fall, and hopes to hold an internship while overseas as well. She has taken numerous courses so far to complete her Journalism major and takes pride in her determination, work ethic, and dedication.
