Well, as I said, this election has been put to bed, and it’s time for me to go to bed too. Before I go however, it should be known that this election means more than just a new president; it means a new age for those who once had little hope and place in this country. Only fifty years ago, African Americans weren’t even allowed to be in the same area as whites. Now, an African American man has been elected president. This has to give hope to all other minority groups in this land of the free. As Barack Obama makes his speech, I’m going to hand it over to the writer for the midnight time slot. Until then, good night, and congratulations to President-elect Obama!
Also, Happy Birthday Mom! Here’s your present!
