Something I found very interesting is that both candidates are campaigning on election day, which is an unprecedented activity for candidates. Obama’s final stop is Chicago, where he and his wife, Michelle, voted this morning.
Something else unprecedented in this year’s election are the new voting machines placed in polling centers for those who are disabled. There was a strong movement by the disabled community for equal opportunity to vote. Typically, disabled individuals submit absentee ballots to vote. This election, however, there are now machines geared toward their specific needs.
